Bentonite Review

Hola Meanies,

Last week Friday was wash hair day. I actually colored, shampooed, conditioned, and deep treatment. First I colored my hair with Creme Of Nature in the orange box. The color was Golden Brown. Now the color on the box is a dark/light brownish auburn color. Of course I was scared to put that color in my hair because I have a old color from last summer still trying to hold on. So I followed the basic directions on the box obviously and continue with my usual hair routine. The only different thing I did was, I did a bentonite clay treatment.

Bentonite clay can be used as a hair clarifier, face mask and internal cleanse. Isn't that great, 3 uses for the price of one. It looks like fine sand/powder. It should be a light gray to gray color. If its white then that's suspect. Anyway you only have to add water to it, you can add olive oil/apple cider vinegar for your hair treatment and mix until there are no more lumps or clumps. I must say it was a task but worth it. My hair felt squeaky clean and was easy to detangle. Oh I also got my bentonite clay from blackonyxworld.com for $6 I think. I will definitely will be using it again. Maybe I'll use it twice a month.

After going through the whole coloring and washing my hair, the color on showed up around my edges and roots. Was I surprised ? No, because I knew that it would only show up on my new growth hair. So by the end of the year I will try again, by then I would already have done my BC ( by the grace of God my BC might be sooner).

I really really really want to wait for 5 or 6 months before BCing but I'm losing my patience and dying to be free of my stringy hair. Patience is not my best friend at the moment.

Hey Meanies,

Last Saturday, my favorite cousin and best friend from BK came to visit me. I was super excited because I haven't seen them in a long time and I usually don't have guests at my apartment. People seem to think I live far out in west bubbafuck. I'm only an hour and half away from NYC. It took them 3 hours to get here because of traffic. And they got semi-lost, they made it very clear to me by saying "the things we do for you" in a nice way of saying we're hungry and annoyed.

Anyway when we get together it's a problem. I decided we're going to eat, chat, drink and act a damn fool. So we had a mini wine tasting session. We were excited because we have always wanted to do wine tasting. These are the wines we had: Sweet Bitch Merlot, Sutter Home Cabernet Sauvignon, Gallo Family White Zinfandel, and Sutter Home Moscato. Honestly, my friends preferred the Moscato and White Zinfandel. They said the Merlot wasn't bad but it left a after taste behind like cardboard. Yes they said cardboard.

So this is what I learned last night, I had lemon cake with a berry/pineapple sauce with a glass of the Merlot. I took a sip before eating the cake, but when I ate the cake and took another sip it was not the same sweet & fruity Merlot. The taste of the wine did a 360 and tasted like the Cabernet Sauvignon. I thought I was going crazy. I'm starting to wonder if my friends wasn't sucking down the new make your own Coolattas if the wine would have tasted different to them. I guess we have next time to figure it out. Anyway, I had a blast and was very grateful that they came and visited me. The little things mean more to me than you can imagine.

I HATE CILANTRO !

Last week Saturday I went to a Heineken Inspire Concert in the city with my bestsie. So before heading back to CT we decided to eat "Chipotle". If you haven't tried it you don't know what your missing. While eating I told my friend my taste buds can't really pick up the taste of cilantro. She says it's earthy, limey, dish washing soap etc (Ina Garten says it taste like soap too).



I have eaten cilantro numerous times and still can't get what the flavor is. Every time we eat Chipotle cilantro ends up in the conversation because they use it in the salsa and guacamole. I think I need to get a bush of fresh cilantro and try it because every time I ate something with cilantro another flavor overpowered my taste buds. With that being said I would like to dedicate this Glozell video to my bestsie. Enjoy the video, she ALWAYS makes me cry !
